A Little History on Peck Idaho:

The town of Peck was homesteaded in 1896. Named after George Peck who was the railroad official. Peck was not established till 1899 when the railroad was built. Peck was one of the largest towns in the country at the turn of the century prospering with all the essential businesses to thrive. The post office was built in 1896 and is still standing today. The citizens of Peck had high hopes that the railroad would be built through town so much so that they named the main street Railroad Street. Although the railroad was never put in to the Camas Prairie the town continued to flourish with the transport of Grain to the Clearwater River.
